Michael J. Meily

Mike is the majority owner and managing partner of Harvest Investment Consultants, LLC. He has been in the financial services industry since graduating from Lehigh University 1998. After working for several large financial services companies, he made the transition to Harvest in 2008, seeking to engage with clients on an independent registered investment advisor platform. Mike views the independent RIA business model as a superior way for clients to obtain unbiased advice with maximum transparency.

Mike strives to create a company culture of constant improvement. Elevating the client experience through better technology, operations, research, education, and communication is the gold standard. In addition to working with a select group of clients, Mike oversees the portfolio management process. On one hand, he enjoys the technical aspects of diving deeply into macroeconomic cycles and their impact on asset class returns and market volatility. On the other hand, he enjoys educating clients and connecting with them on their level to help bring simplicity and understanding to a very complex financial world.

Mike’s credentials include required industry licensing in addition to earned designations as a Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®), a Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU®), a Retirement Income Certified Professional® (RICP®), and a Chartered Advisor for Senior Living® (CASL®). He views ongoing education as an important responsibility. When working with clients, Mike credits his time, experience, and perspective in the financial services industry as his most valuable asset.

Mike is an avid golfer, enjoys strength and fitness training, collecting wine, and traveling. Mike, his wife Kasey, and Ben, their Greater Swiss Mountain Dog – Saint Bernard mix, live in northern Baltimore County.
